exactly. maybe he's thinking the girl's going to be able to press her face against the guy's shirt or that he can comfort her in all this gore, but i wouldn't be happy seeing this on a date. i like scaring myself, but this just seems awful. i'd like to see how well the conversation goes after a date like that.

Hostel was unique, a breath of fresh air and most movie fans will agree the whole idea was more frightening than the on screen gore. Once you get through Hostel you realise it's a bigger picture than someone being tortured in a chair. Hostel 2, we all know the score already therefore it does just become a person in a chair being turned to mush and there are no surprises. Eli Roth is not daft, he knows what Hostel 2 is and he's lying when he says it's better than the first. It's a piece of poo.
